About Okayama Castle
Okayama castle was built in 1597. The castle tower is a six-storey building with a triple structure.

The characteristic roof shape has a distorted polygon.
There is also the theory that this architectural style imitates the Azuchi castle of Oda Nobunaga and the Osaka castle tower of the era of Hashiba Hideyoshi.

Appearance is painted black, also called "Castle of Crow".

Okayama castle was destroyed by a fire in the castle tower and each gate due to the air raid of war. The current castle tower was rebuilt in 1966.
